This Emergency Room RN role is for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, focusing on delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent conditions. The nurse will collaborate closely with providers and the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely assessments, interventions, and documentation during a 13-week night-shift contract.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Implement nursing interventions and modify care plans based on continuous evaluation
- Provide safe, evidence-based care aligned with ER standards and hospital policies
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation to support continuity of care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and reporting hazards or incidents
- Support a positive, collaborative work environment
- Offer constructive feedback to peers and contribute to team development
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of recent ER nursing experience
- Illinois RN license in good standing
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS (AHA)
- ASN
Qualifications
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 3 years of recent ER nursing experience
