About This Role

This role involves serving as the primary care provider for patients requiring urgent medical attention in an Emergency Department setting. Responsibilities include assessing and prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of defense for patients who require urgent medical care
• Treat patients suffering from trauma, injury, or severe medical conditions
• Quickly assess patients' needs and prioritize care
• Monitor patient health conditions, administer medications and other treatments
• Operate and maintain medical equipment
• Participate in code blue and other emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and their families about the patient's condition and care plan

Requirements

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• ADN or higher degree in nursing
• Experience with advanced medical equipment and procedure
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• ADN or higher degree in nursing
• 1+ years of experience in an emergency room (ER) setting preferred

Nice to Have

• 1+ years of experience in an emergency room (ER) setting
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Care of psychiatric patients
• Experience in Fast track
• Experience in Transport
• Experience in Trauma (level 1, 2, 3, or 4)
