Electronic Maintenance Technician II

About This Role

This role provides real-time mission support for Red Flag operations at Nellis AFB, evaluating new electronic systems and applying advanced technical knowledge to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of all electronic support equipment and follow guidelines using checklists and additional published work instructions and procedures
• Provide operational and maintenance support for the Red Flag system including preventative maintenance, diagnosis of system problems and implementation of repairs
• Maintain documented maintenance actions and reporting through use of the Resource Management Center (RMC)
• Provide customers with operational assistance daily, as required, including live mission support, post-mission debriefings, and briefings for visitors
• Repair equipment to original specifications necessary to maintain a fully operational condition
• Accomplish efficient and accurate handling and storage of classified information and materials
• Attend training events and meetings as required
• Perform tasks and make effective decisions under stressful circumstances during live mission support events and post-mission debriefings
• Perform new software installations and software upgrades on equipment used for mission support and debriefings

Requirements

• A.S. Electronics or equivalent military/field experience/training
• Ability to obtain COMP TIA A+ certification within six months of start of employment
• Valid state driver’s license
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Pass drug screening
• Read and write efficiently in English
• Proficient skill in commercial computer hardware, networking equipment and Windows OS
