Electrical/Electronic Equipment Engineer

About This Role

This role involves designing, building, and testing electrical systems for advanced aerospace products. The engineer will ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of mission-critical equipment, primarily focusing on harness fabrication and system-level testing.

Responsibilities

• Independently build harnesses, cables, electrical chassis, hubs, and electronic racks
• Plan, conduct, and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Design, fabricate, build, and analyze test systems, components, and methodologies
• Coordinate test requirements and determine appropriate test methods and capabilities
• Support system integration activities including fabrication, modification, setup, checkout, and teardown
• Conduct tests, analyze data, and document detailed results
• Participate in test readiness reviews and ensure systems meet performance standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory and test-related issues
• Coordinate laboratory activities, maintenance, and repairs
• Coach and train team members while working under general direction

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building electrical products
• Strong hands-on experience building harnesses, cables, chassis, hubs, and electronics racks
• Ability to independently plan and execute testing activities
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and resolving lab-related issues
• Education typically acquired through advanced education (Associate degree or higher) and 3+ years of related experience, OR a combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor’s + 1 year, or 5+ years of related work experience)

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or Bachelor's degree plus 1 year related experience or 5+ years of related work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience building electrical products

Nice to Have

• 10+ years of experience building electrical products
• Experience working in aerospace or other highly regulated industries
• Strong background in system integration and structured test documentation
• Experience mentoring or training junior team members
