Oversee and manage all on-site electrical operations for a long-term project, ensuring precision, innovation, and efficiency. Lead a team of electricians to execute electrical systems and infrastructure, guaranteeing compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site electrical activities, including installations, testing, and commissioning
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
- Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to align fieldwork with project goals
- Lead and supervise a team of electricians and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to deadlines
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to achieve project objectives
- Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting accomplishments, challenges, and solutions
- Monitor and manage the procurement and inventory of electrical materials and equipment
- Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials to maintain an efficient workflow
- Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in electrical construction
- 3+ years in a supervisory or superintendent role
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards (e.g., NEC)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and project documentation
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain focus under pressure
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale electrical projects.
