About This Role

Oversee and manage all on-site electrical operations for a long-term project, ensuring precision, innovation, and efficiency. Lead a team of electricians to execute electrical systems and infrastructure, guaranteeing compliance with safety standards and project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all on-site electrical activities, including installations, testing, and commissioning
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
  • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to align fieldwork with project goals
  • Lead and supervise a team of electricians and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to deadlines
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to achieve project objectives
  • Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting accomplishments, challenges, and solutions
  • Monitor and manage the procurement and inventory of electrical materials and equipment
  • Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical construction
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or superintendent role
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards (e.g., NEC)
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and project documentation
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain focus under pressure

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale electrical projects.
