Electrical Instructor

About This Role

Instruct program participants in electrical trade skills, focusing on proper technique, safety, and detailed execution through hands-on training and classroom instruction. Mentor and coach students, fostering their development and assisting with placement into careers.

Responsibilities

• Instruct program participants in trade skills using approved curriculum
• Develop curriculum and supporting training materials, as needed
• Coordinate hands-on training activities including on-site and community-based projects
• Demonstrate proper use of tools and equipment with an emphasis on safety
• Assist with student recruitment, placement, and employability training
• Monitor, mentor, and coach students
• Foster positive working relationships with funders, program partners, and personnel
• Participate in outreach and employer relationship development
• Perform various administrative and reporting functions
• Ensure proper use, storage, and security of tools and equipment

Requirements

• Ability to meet Career Technical Training requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Journey-level experience in the Electrical trade
