Elastic Software Developer

About This Role

This role involves supporting the USAF contract on Robins AFB, GA, by designing, developing, and deploying secure Elastic-based architectures. The engineer will provide technical expertise in Elastic stack integration and ensure environments meet strict cybersecurity standards to support mission-critical defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure Elastic-based architectures optimized for mission-critical data requirements
• Provide senior-level technical expertise in Elastic stack integration, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Ensure all Elastic environments meet strict cyber security standards through access control, encryption, and monitoring protocols
• Engineer scalable data pipelines and architectures using scripting languages (Python, Bash, Powershell) and support automation via tools like Jenkins and Logstash
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (software, systems, and electrical engineering) to deliver fully integrated, reliable, and secure solutions
• Document and standardize configurations and procedures to ensure system maintainability and operational continuity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer/Electrical Engineering
• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI Eligibility
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Elasticsearch in a production environment
• Familiarity with utilizing Elasticsearch for indexing, searching, and performing analytics on data
• Proficiency with data aggregations, writing complex search queries, data modeling/indexing, cluster management/architecture (including scaling)
• Development with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Understanding database structures
• Experience utilizing tools such as Kibana, Logstash, Jira, and Jenkins

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer/Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Elasticsearch in a production environment, including indexing, searching, and performing analytics on data.

Nice to Have

• Ability to perform at a Senior/SME level with minimal to no assistance from junior level organic staff
