This role assists in implementing and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate environmental and occupational safety regulatory requirements. It supports continuous improvement of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems for AVEVA Drug Delivery Systems.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sr. EH&S Manager in the implementation of Site EHS training at all levels
- Support the integration of new SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Support in the management of the worker’s Compensation Program
- Support the implementation of pro-active Safety and Health Programs
- Dispose of hazardous, non-regulated, and biomedical waste streams
- Support periodic industrial hygiene, safety, and environmental sampling/testing
- Participate in risk assessments of chemicals, equipment, and operations
- Support the maintenance of EHS documentation in accordance with regulatory record-keeping requirements
- Assist and support the integration of behavior-based observations and identify hazardous workplace conditions
- Support incident investigations and reporting processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Health or Environmental Studies (or related science)
- Minimum of 3 years EHS experience
- Hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing work environment
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA regulations, recordkeeping requirements, and guidelines
- Proficient in English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Health or Environmental Studies (or related science)
- 3+ years EHS experience or equivalent combination of education and/or EH&S technical experience with hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing work environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device or electronics industries
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience in Safety, industrial hygiene and Environmental regulations
