About This Role

This role involves overseeing a section within a childcare structure, ensuring the well-being and development of young children. The educator will create a safe environment and implement activities tailored to their age and needs. Additionally, fostering trust and communication with parents is key to this position.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison between the team and the Director within their section
• Organize and manage children's activity times
• Plan weekly staff schedules
• Coordinate team meetings to ensure consistency in child-focused work
• Collaborate with other educators to establish common organization across structures
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of materials
• Arrange and optimize space within the section
• Select and acquire toys and educational materials
• Welcome and supervise trainees
• Monitor individual adaptation processes for children in various care settings
• Facilitate daily welcoming of families and gather relevant information
• Implement free and structured activities, along with diverse animations
• Support children in their social interactions and understanding of living spaces
• Observe and listen to children, analyzing situations and providing written transmissions
• Develop individual projects for children to acquire autonomy
• Participate in physical care and various material tasks for children
• Build trust and provide reassurance to parents
• Display information for families
• Ensure oral and written transmissions are provided
• Attend parent meetings and lead themed meetings

Requirements

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Diplôme d'Educateur de jeunes enfants)
