E-Commerce Sales Engineer

About This Role

This role involves working with inside and outside sales to prepare quotes and manage larger projects as a sales engineer. You will be responsible for modifying and updating our E-Commerce software and configurators, as well as tracking quotes and interfacing with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log all new specially configured quotes.
• Calculate pricing and provide written quotes, including generating house drawings as required.
• Manage necessary quote programs for consistent and error-free quoting.
• Submit quotes to Dealers or Customers for approval.
• Track and report quote turnaround, success ratio, and other sales metrics.
• Track Project Financials.
• Provide drawings showing equipment layouts and configured outputs.
• Follow orders after awards to assure accurate parts lists are entered.
• Make modifications to configurators in E-Commerce System for part changes.
• Work with outside firm and engineering in setting up new product configurations and quoting tools.
• Program new enhancements in the E-Commerce system or collaborate with outside firms on complex changes.

Requirements

• Associate degree
• 1-2 years experience with house design, Bird Management, project management, telephone communications
• Proficiency in computer programming software (word processing, spreadsheet software)
• Ability to use Windows based software in a Networked environment
• Ability to use the Internet effectively for file transmission
• Ability to design custom Excel and Word files using formulas, macros, and mail merges
• Ability to use AutoCad software
• Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strong presentation skills

Qualifications

• Associate degree required, four-year University Degree preferred in technical or computer programming field.
• 1-2 years of extensive experience with house design, Bird Management, project management, telephone communications, and proficiency in computer programming software.
