Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges, assisting with daily activities and implementing behavior management strategies to ensure well-being and promote resident rights.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies and support individuals in developing appropriate social skills
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals by following established protocols and procedures
- Document and report any incidents or changes in behavior to the appropriate supervisor
- Promote and uphold resident rights and advocate for individuals' needs and preferences
Requirements
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts on a flexible schedule (day/night shifts: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6pm)
- Transportation Required
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is preferred
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- First aid and CPR certification
