The DSD Sales Representative for the NYC Territory will develop and grow retail accounts, primarily focusing on increasing sales through product promotion and introducing new offerings. This role also involves product delivery and merchandising in customer locations using a company vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business and grow existing customer relationships throughout New York City
- Increase sales by promoting products and introducing new offerings to retail customers
- Safely operate a company-provided vehicle to deliver products along assigned NYC routes
- Deliver, unload, and merchandise products at customer locations
- Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Load orders into the system the day prior to delivery
- Collect payments (cash/check) and complete end-of-day reporting
- Accurately record sales and delivery information using a company tablet and handheld printer
- Maintain daily driver logs and comply with all safety requirements
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Sales experience
- Must reside within the NYC Metro area (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, or nearby)
- Ability to reliably commute to New Jersey once per week
- Ability to operate a 16-foot truck
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Qualifications
- Sales experience required (food industry experience strongly preferred). Previous route sales or route driving experience preferred.
