This role supports Landscapers Supply by efficiently delivering landscaping materials and power equipment to customers and stores. Responsibilities include safe truck operation, yard maintenance, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Complete pre-trip inspections of delivery truck
- Verify load matches order before leaving the store
- Call customers to confirm delivery and provide estimated arrival time
- Drive a truck to deliver landscape materials such as mulch or sod
- Drop deliver orders in the customer's desired location in a timely manner
- Record all driving in the driver log
- Wash and maintain delivery trucks
- Deliver transfers between Landscapers Supply stores
- Assist in the yard and warehouse when not driving
- Assist with special requests from management
Requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record for at least 7 years
- Ability to have positive and friendly interactions with customers
- Ability to have clear communication with colleagues in person and over radio
- Ability to work steady and safely around people and vehicles
Nice to Have
- Experience working with a wheel loader, Forklift, or other heavy equipment
