Director Origination

About This Role

This is a foundational, entrepreneurial role to lead and build the company's origination efforts from the ground up, responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing transactions across a national footprint. The individual will define the firm's go-to-market strategy and positioning, working closely with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead all origination activity for the platform on a national basis
• Source transactions across multifamily and industrial assets
• Originate a wide range of deal types including new originations, refinancings, recapitalizations, and structured or rescue situations
• Build and maintain deep relationships with debt brokers, banks, agency lenders, and sponsors/operators
• Leverage existing relationships while actively developing new sources of repeat deal flow
• Serve as the primary point of contact from initial deal discussion through execution
• Work collaboratively with internal credit, legal, and capital teams to structure transactions
• Help define and refine the origination strategy, target profiles, and market positioning
• Contribute to the development of origination processes, tracking tools, and market intelligence
• Work closely with credit, legal, capital markets, and senior leadership on all transactions

Requirements

• Senior, entrepreneurial Director or Managing Director of Originations
• True startup mentality
• Comfortable owning the full lifecycle of origination
• Ability to build relationships
• Comfortable shaping processes
• Ability to represent the platform in the market
