Director of User Experience and Human Factors - Hardware

About This Role

Lead the strategic vision and implementation of user experience across the company’s hardware and digital products, focusing on enhancing team capability through Gen AI/UX for AI/ML and establishing usability testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision and implementation of user experience across hardware and digital products
• Drive upskilling of Gen AI/UX for AI/ML capabilities within the user experience team
• Advocate for end-user co-creation to inform product development
• Establish usability testing as a standard practice across all products
• Identify opportunities for improving UX designers in data visualization techniques
• Oversee co-creation workshops with end users to inform new product and service development
• Promote an end-to-end user experience strategy across all product touchpoints

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience leading user research and/or experience design
• Bachelors Degree in a related field – Human Factors, Anthropology, Psychology, etc.
• Experience with HARDWARE & SOFTWARE

• 15+ years of experience leading user research and/or design for mobile, web, and Android ecosystems and products
• Experience bringing an AI product to market from inception to launch
• Demonstrated research skills across qualitative and quantitative methods
• Expertise in interaction design in product and/or user experience
• Ability to translate complex vision into an understandable concept and workable design story
• Proficient in presenting concepts and designs to executive and above level business stakeholders
• Ability to communicate with design, software, hardware, and development teams regarding the technical limitations of designs for mobile, web, and/or Android products
