Lead and grow the Solutions Engineering team at Paramark, delivering high-quality, timely ML-driven analysis to delight customers and help them optimize marketing spend. This role involves setting technical direction, driving efficiencies, and influencing product roadmap and adjacent teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Solutions Engineering area, performing hands-on ML for customers
- Collaborate with and influence data science, software engineering, and growth advisory teams
- Grow the Solutions Engineering team from 5 to 15 individuals, including hiring a senior manager
- Become a domain expert in ML workflows your team performs and constantly up-level your team
- Drive efficiencies in your teams by building tools, improving processes, and fostering continuous learning
- Significantly influence product roadmap planning by tracking inefficiencies impacting your team
- Ensure high-quality and timely analyses for customers, continuously tuning teams for better and faster results
- Build self-organizing teams with improving processes
- Partner with the Data Science team to improve ML workflows and train solutions engineers
- Collaborate with the Growth Advisory team to ensure analyses meet customer expectations
- Help team members achieve career goals while meeting team goals
- Deliver helpful feedback in real time and communicate high expectations
- Recruit top, diverse talent for your team and hit hiring goals
- Consistently demonstrate strong alignment with company values and influence others
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a technical domain
- 5+ years as a manager
- 2+ years as a manager-of-managers
- Experience at a startup with fewer than ~100 people
- Skilled at managing ambiguity
- High attention to detail
- Fluent in Python
- Fluent in SQL
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a technical domain, with 5+ years as a manager, and 2+ years as a manager-of-managers
Nice to Have
- Experience with machine learning methods
- Experience with regression analysis
- Experience with A/B testing
