This role involves providing strategic leadership for global quality assurance, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence across manufacturing, supply chain, and product development operations. The Director will own the global Quality Management System (QMS) and drive a culture of quality excellence.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global quality strategy, aligning objectives with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the global Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO, and applicable international regulatory frameworks
- Provide oversight of all quality assurance activities, including internal and external audits, supplier quality management, nonconformance management, CAPA, and root cause investigations
- Establish and monitor quality metrics and performance indicators, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to drive operational excellence
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to integrate quality into product lifecycle management, new product development, and market expansion
- Direct global supplier and vendor quality programs, including qualification, audits, and performance improvement initiatives
- Lead complex quality investigations involving deviations, complaints, and incidents, ensuring rigorous root cause analysis, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting as required
- Develop, mentor, and lead regional quality teams, fostering a high-performance culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and quality leadership
- Ensure organizational readiness for regulatory inspections and support product registrations, market entries, and global product launches
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in quality assurance or quality systems
- Experience in dietary supplements, consumer health, or FMCG environments
- Deep expertise in GMP, ISO, and global regulatory compliance
- Experience managing multi-market and multi-region requirements
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional and cross-regional teams
- Ability to build scalable quality systems and drive cultural change
- Strong command of audits, CAPA, risk management, root cause analysis, and data-driven quality metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in quality assurance or quality systems, within dietary supplements, consumer health, or FMCG environments
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree or advanced certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor)
- Experience leveraging QMS platforms, ERP systems, and analytics to support global operations
