About This Role

This role involves leading the strategy and execution for securing $5M-$15M+ annually in primarily non-dilutive and impact-oriented capital for e't, an organization focused on empowerment and community growth. The Director will blend philanthropy, impact investing, and innovative financing structures to ensure sustainable scaling and maintain community ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising plan prioritizing non-dilutive philanthropic support and impact capital, incorporating SAFE agreements for strategic funding rounds.
  • Identify, research, and cultivate a diverse portfolio of high-potential funders including foundations, family offices, ultra-HNWI philanthropists, impact funds, corporate giving programs, government agencies, and angel/impact investors.
  • Lead personalized outreach, proposal development, pitch decks, and stewardship for 6-7 figure gifts and multi-year commitments.
  • Negotiate and close non-dilutive or low-dilution structures such as recoverable grants, program-related investments, catalytic first-loss capital, revenue-based financing, mission-aligned loans, or SAFE agreements.
  • Oversee high-quality grant applications, reporting, compliance, and renewals for foundation and government sources.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with funders, providing regular impact updates and positioning e't as a top-tier partner.
  • Partner with leadership, program, finance, and communications teams to articulate compelling theories of change, measurable outcomes, and financial models.
  • Maintain a robust CRM pipeline, forecast revenue, track KPIs, and report progress to the executive team and board.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of progressive fundraising experience
  • Proven success raising non-dilutive capital (grants, major donations) and/or impact capital (PRIs, catalytic investments, mission debt)
  • Exposure to convertible instruments like SAFE agreements in social impact, empowerment, education, equity, or related fields
  • Deep network among philanthropists, foundations, family offices, impact investors, and angel networks focused on social change and innovative financing
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills
  • Experience crafting proposals, pitch materials, financial models, impact reports, and term sheets (e.g., SAFE documentation) for sophisticated funders
  • Comfortable with hybrid philanthropic/impact structures
  • Strong project management and CRM proficiency

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of progressive fundraising experience, with a strong track record closing $1M+ gifts or commitments annually.
