Director of Legal Operations

About This Role

This role is for a Director of Legal Operations to partner with the CEO of a rapidly expanding personal injury law firm. The Director will be instrumental in building the firm's infrastructure, streamlining legal operations, and driving strategic growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workflow of legal and non-legal team members, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and excellence
• Manage day-to-day operations of intake, pre-litigation, and litigation departments, focusing on KPIs and firm goals
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to streamline legal operations
• Identify and implement technology solutions for improved efficiency
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Oversee financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Manage HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
• Work directly with the CEO on strategic growth planning, solutions, and managing initiatives
• Oversee financial goals, case settlements, and ensure consistent cash flow
• Implement firm-wide initiatives and manage projects to contribute to vision and growth

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Legal Operations Manager, Director of Legal Operations or similar role
• Strong knowledge of legal operations, technology and process improvement, preferably in the personal injury space
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
• Experience with legal technology and software
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Legal Studies or related field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Legal Studies or related field
• Proven experience in legal operations management or related field; experience in growing and scaling plaintiff's personal injury firms or contingency fee based business models

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with personal injury law and scaling personal injury businesses
• Experience with working with Case Peer as CRM or other industry wide case management software
