Oversee all aspects of the Food and Nutrition Services Department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and the efficient, safe, and nutritional preparation of food. Develop and enforce policies related to clinical services, food preparation, and staff development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the food safety and nutritional care aspects of the Food and Nutrition Services Department
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory agencies
- Ensure efficiency of food prepared in the department, considering food safety, nutritional adequacy, and appropriate patient nutritional care
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for clinical services
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for food preparation, distribution, and service
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for purchasing, sanitation, and safety practices
- Implement performance improvement initiatives
- Oversee staff education and development
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RD) required
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in Food & Nutrition or related field or relevant experience
- Food Safety Certification from an accredited organization and maintain current
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in Food & Nutrition or related field or relevant experience.
- Two (2) years experience in the fields of nutrition and food service management desirable.
