About This Role

Lead and manage all aspects of Food & Beverage operations for the launch of 1 Hotel Austin, ensuring high standards of food, service, and guest experience while developing and mentoring the team. This role focuses on strategic development, financial management, and maintaining strong supplier relationships in an upscale environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of Food & Beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, and conference & events.
• Develop and implement operational strategies for the highest standards of food, service, and guest experience.
• Lead team member recruitment for the launch of 1 Hotel Austin, training, and development.
• Manage and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor, interacting with guests to ensure exceptional service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost control strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality and consistency of ingredients.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive Food & Beverage work experience in a high-volume, upscale environment
• 6+ years managing a high volume Food & Beverage operation with at least $20M in F&B revenue
• Passionate about food & beverage
• Expert in food & beverage operations
• Strong leader
• Proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance
• Excels at communication, both verbal and written
• Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive Food & Beverage work experience in a high-volume, upscale environment, with at least 6 years managing a high volume Food & Beverage operation with $20M+ in F&B revenue.

• Prior experience opening a restaurant or hotel
• Post-secondary diploma or degree
