The Director of Clinical Services provides clinical direction and administrative oversight for a specific program, ensuring clinical excellence through development, implementation, and monitoring of quality. This role also manages staff and is accountable for performance, financial, and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the program to ensure quality and initiate necessary improvements
- Hire and train new therapists, dietitians, and nurses, collaborating with subject matter specialists
- Guide the professional development of staff through training and supervision
- Supervise program staff and work with lead team members to ensure clinically appropriate, ethical, and effective treatment
- Coordinate medical care with physicians following established directives
- Coordinate admissions into the Program and oversee integration into the therapeutic community
- Consistently assess the effectiveness of the treatment program, gathering input from lead staff
- Serve as a liaison between treatment programs and collaborate with community entities influencing clients' lives
- Maintain and ensure the program operates within accreditation guidelines and increases patient safety awareness
- Partner with leaders to develop, coordinate, and deliver in-services, education sessions, presentations, and training
- Support Utilization Review department by facilitating communication for weekly insurance and peer-to-peer reviews
- Collaborate with local outreach representatives to engage referral sources monthly
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health related discipline
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in leadership role
- 2+ years recent related experience working with eating disordered clients
- Experience in partnering with an executive team
- High level of written and oral communication skills
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health related discipline
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a leadership role and a minimum of 2+ years recent related experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
