Director, Innovation Enablement

About This Role

This Director role leads the identification, development, and scaling of innovative, business-focused technology solutions to advance organizational strategy and deliver measurable outcomes. The position requires translating business priorities into impactful technology initiatives and elevating performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with business leaders, technology teams, and corporate stakeholders
• Proactively identify, shape, and evaluate high-value innovation opportunities for business transformation and efficiency
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business goals into scalable technology-enabled solutions
• Partner with AI, Automation, R&D, and other tech functions for a cohesive approach to emerging technologies
• Maintain an active innovation pipeline, communicating progress, metrics, and business value to stakeholders
• Define, track, and report on KPIs to measure effectiveness, adoption, and impact of innovation initiatives
• Lead comprehensive change management and communications strategies for successful adoption and transformation
• Serve as a visible advocate for innovation, inspiring stakeholders and driving organizational impact
• Develop and lead an Innovation Literacy program to educate and engage employees on technology
• Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and growth using agile innovation methodologies
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and governance teams to embed responsible innovation principles and ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead efforts to define and implement governance frameworks balancing innovation velocity with risk management

Requirements

• 12+ years experience in technology enablement, innovation, digital strategy, or transformation
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, insurance)
• Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and embedding programs that deliver measurable business outcomes
• Proven ability to partner with senior executives, technology leaders, and cross-functional teams to translate business priorities into impactful technology solutions
• Strong change management expertise, with a track record of driving adoption of new solutions and influencing cultural and behavioral shifts
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills
• Experience in program governance, portfolio management, and defining/tracking KPIs
• Deep understanding of innovation processes, emerging technology trends, and organizational enablers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience; advanced degree preferred
• 12+ years leading technology enablement, innovation, digital strategy, or transformation initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder organizations

Nice to Have

• Background in management consulting, product strategy, or business/process design
• Hands-on experience with technology product design, ownership, or lifecycle management
• Familiarity with lean experimentation, human-centered design, agile delivery, and other innovation methodologies
• Experience in leading enterprise literacy programs or workforce upskilling initiatives
• Understanding of business architecture, operating model design, and integration of innovation capabilities into core business functions
• Demonstrated thought leadership in innovation, emerging technology adoption, or organizational transformation
