Director, Infrastructure Services

About This Role

This role is responsible for overseeing Direct Travel's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data centers. The Director will lead a team to ensure availability, security, and efficiency of systems while developing strategic plans and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop team members, focusing on professional development and necessary training
• Manage and coach team members to improve execution and maximize results, identifying growth opportunities
• Interview, hire, engage, retain, discipline, and terminate staff with appropriate approvals
• Assess and analyze overall team performance results and service levels, initiating actions to close gaps
• Identify opportunities to provide feedback and handle difficult conversations and conflict
• Develop and deliver timely and fair performance reviews, ensuring employee development and goal optimization
• Identify and partner with respective departments to implement training needs
• Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
• Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT
• Evaluate vendor cost and quality of services
• Manage infrastructure lifecycles

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or management related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ experience delivering business-critical IT infrastructure (design, administration, implementation, management)
• 5+ years of experience in cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
• Formal training and/or current certifications in ITIL or ITSM
• Excellent customer service skills (verbal and written interpersonal communication)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, .Net, SQL Server, Web Services, REST APIs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or management related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ experience delivering business-critical IT infrastructure that includes design, administration, implementation and management experience. 5+ years of experience in cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization.
