As a Director with EY-Parthenon's Financial Diligence practice, you will advise clients on complex M&A deals by managing and executing financial diligence projects. This role involves analyzing financial data, identifying key trends, and guiding clients on value maximization and risk reduction.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute financial due diligence engagements
- Analyze financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold
- Conduct interviews with management to discuss business performance and forecast assumptions
- Help write reports outlining findings and recommendations on financial and business issues in transactions
- Assist clients in the preparation of SEC filings
- Identify negotiation factors for purchase price and deal structuring
- Research industry trends, seasonality, and cyclicality on cash flow requirements
- Develop staff and seniors to ensure their career development
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of related work experience (4 years with a graduate degree)
- Significant public accounting experience
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively on projects
- Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to develop long-lasting internal and external relationships
- Reside in or be in a commutable distance to office location
- Ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a graduate degree
- 5 years of related work experience with a bachelor's degree; or approximately 4 years of related work experience with a graduate degree
Nice to Have
- Proven record of excellence in a mergers or acquisitions transactions role
- Experience gained within another large professional services organization
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot
- Established networking skills in a relevant industry
