About This Role

This Director role is responsible for overseeing the successful operation and strategic direction of the existing buildings R&M business unit through strong leadership, effective project execution, and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement personal development opportunities for team members
  • Lead, train, and mentor team members by acting as a Project Manager on select projects
  • Facilitate monthly 1:1 meetings with each direct report using a standardized tool
  • Oversee Business Operations Specialist ensuring contracts are added, updated, and client outreach occurs
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives as required
  • Coordinate and complete smaller quick turnaround projects and larger, highly complex projects
  • Lead/co-lead scheduling of resources to achieve utilization targets and revenue goals
  • Review Consultant and Specialist level deliverables for content, consistency, and compliance
  • Evaluate '2-Week Lookahead' to ensure efficient team deployment and coordination
  • Fostering relationships with new and existing clients for tactical and strategic purposes

Requirements

  • Bachelors' Degree in an Engineering/Architecture related discipline
  • 8 years Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Project Management in design, construction, or forensics
  • 2 years Business unit leadership, and management responsibility (managing staff, group revenue, growth strategy, hiring/firing, business development)
  • Understanding of design and construction process from cradle to grave
  • Technically competent and able to effectively communicate and build rapport with team, clients, coworkers, and sub-contractors
  • Practical understanding of building structures
  • High level of financial acumen
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree in an Engineering/Architecture related discipline
  • 8 years Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Project Management in design, construction, or forensics. 2 years Business unit leadership and management responsibility.
