Digital Skills Tutor

About This Role

This role involves coordinating the Jewish Care Explore centre and outreach program, delivering front-line training services, and tutoring older and disabled people to enhance their engagement with mainstream technology.

Responsibilities

• Offer tutoring digital support to members
• Deliver training programs to individual clients or larger groups
• Contribute to planning and developing a core syllabus and learning program
• Deliver Train-the-Trainers programs for staff and volunteers
• Plan and create basic ICT skills and knowledge assessment tools
• Monitor and measure members' progress
• Work with volunteers to run the outreach program supporting digital engagement for older/disabled people
• Adapt ICT training program to meet members' needs
• Create links and partnerships with other organizations for services and support

Requirements

• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in training and health and social care
• Competent and enthusiastic ICT user, confident with PCs, tablets/mobile devices and common applications (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Facetime)
• Experience providing training to older and disabled people or developing/delivering activities for them
• Knowledge and interest in digital technology's potential to transform older and disabled people’s lives
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate positively and non-discriminatorily
• Passion for inclusion and commitment to including older and disabled people in all aspects of life
• Empathy to understand and employ Jewish Care's value of meaningful lives
