Dietary Aide

About This Role

Serve residents by following planned menus, preparing, portioning, and delivering meals, and maintaining a clean and sanitized dining environment and kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Follow planned menu and receive meal orders from residents
• Prepare food and beverages for serving based on established procedures
• Provide food service to residents, including portioning, plating, loading, delivering and serving resident meals
• Assist in serving plates and tray cart, including loading, delivering, and serving
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize glasses, dishes, silverware, service ware, etc. according to established procedures
• Clean and sanitize work areas and sinks after each meal or as needed
• Clear, clean, and sanitize tables
• Sweep and mop floors as assigned
• Clean cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, walls, garbage cans, carts, pantries, and other equipment in department as needed
• Assist in preparation of meals, drinks, supplements, and snacks

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must purchase and wear required uniform
• Must be able to use equipment without jeopardizing safety
• Ability to use supplies economically
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings
• Demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene
• Read, know and follow personnel, department, and Facility policies
