Dietary Aide

About This Role

The Dietary Aide ensures that therapeutic diets are safely served to residents, assisting with menu selection and preparing dietary information for kitchen use. This role involves processing diet orders, managing office equipment, and maintaining supply inventory to support the Nutrition office.

Responsibilities

• Provide highest quality of service to customers, assisting with menu selection
• Prepare dietary information for kitchen personnel
• Examine diet orders and menus received from hospital units
• Process new diets and changes as required, calculating diabetic diets
• Collaborate with CNAs/nurses for outstanding dining service
• Participate in tray line and food temperature monitoring
• Communicate patient needs to appropriate staff while maintaining confidentiality
• Answer telephone and intercom calls, relaying information to kitchen
• Prepare and deliver formula and special nourishments to unit pantries
• Create systems and solutions for service efficiency
