Dietary Aide

About This Role

Perform various tasks in food preparation, service, and clean-up for patient and staff meals within a nursing center, focusing on duties that do not require cooking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook as directed by the food service director
• Prepare and label nourishments according to center procedures
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads, and other non-entrée foods into dishes
• Pour beverages
• Follow production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization, and safety

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in food service
• Prior experience in long-term care
