Join a two-year Diesel Technician Apprenticeship program at Republic Services to maintain and repair their fleet, gaining hands-on experience and professional certification. This program offers paid training and career advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks
- Diagnose electrical issues of starting and charging systems
- Identify and inspect air conditioning and heating components
- Identify and inspect wheel end assembly components
- Identify and inspect air system components
- Identify and inspect air brakes components
- Identify and inspect hydraulics components
- Perform truck preventative maintenance
Requirements
- Commitment to completing a two-year apprenticeship program
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, or holidays
- Willingness to uphold Republic Services' values of safety, ethics, and respect
- Willingness to travel to and live in Dallas, Texas for 9 weeks of in-person training
- Willingness to relocate to an assigned location throughout the United States upon successful program completion
Qualifications
- Entry-level position; two-year apprenticeship program for aspiring technicians.
