Diagnostic Medical Sonography Clinical Director (RDMS)

About This Role

The Clinical Director will lead the launch of the new Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Associate Degree Program in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves developing the clinical foundation of the program, building relationships with medical facilities, and mentoring the next generation of skilled sonographers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the clinical and didactic education for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Secure new clinical sites and contractual agreements
• Prepare lesson plans and instruct students in Diagnostic Medical Sonography methods and techniques
• Review student success rates and implement plans to reduce withdrawals
• Maintain student grades and prepare final grades at the end of each semester

Requirements

• Active RDMS credential in good standing
• Additional specialty credential(s) (e.g., AB, OB/GYN)
• Current licenses or certifications as required by state and federal law to practice in the field
• Three (3) years of full-time professional experience as a sonographer
• Demonstrated proficiency in teaching, student supervision, and evaluation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related computer skills

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited institution (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Three (3) years of full-time professional experience as a sonographer (general, cardiac, pediatric cardiac, and/or vascular)
