About This Role

This role oversees program management for homes supporting individuals with disabilities, ensuring guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building. The Coordinator advocates for individual health and wellness needs, promotes independence in life skills, and monitors medical administration while maintaining plans and financial records. Additionally, this position supervises and trains Direct Support Professionals, manages accounts, and cultivates positive relationships with external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee program management for homes supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Assure each individual is provided guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building
  • Advocate that each individual's health and wellness needs are met and that they are accomplishing their outcomes, hopes, and dreams by promoting independence in performing essential life skills
  • Monitor and assure the administration of medication and medical treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and maintain each individual's plan and financial records per regulation and program policies and procedures
  • Supervise, support, train, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals
  • Responsible for accounts payable, payroll records, petty cash/individual accounts, and budget monitoring
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counties, families, stakeholders, and community organizations/groups
  • Maintain documentation, perform record keeping, and participate in periodic meetings/trainings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services related field with 1 year experience, OR Associate's degree in Human Services related field with 2 years experience, OR Diploma in Human Services related field with 3 years experience, OR 50 hours Human Services/Disabilities training with 4 years experience
  • For ICF/MR program: Bachelor's degree with QDDP designation
  • Driver's license
  • Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) clearance
  • Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to Human Services OR an associate's degree in a field related to Human Services OR a diploma in a field related to Human Services from an accredited postsecondary institution OR a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to Human Services and disabilities. When managing an ICF/MR program, a bachelor's degree (with QDDP designation) is required.
  • 1 year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older with a bachelor's degree; 2 years with an associate's degree; 3 years with a diploma; 4 years with 50 hours of education and training.
