This role involves providing exceptional patient care as a Dental Assistant, supporting dentists and hygienists during procedures, and ensuring a positive patient experience at Sonrava supported practices. The primary focus is on direct patient interaction, clinical support, and maintaining practice efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain excellent chair-side manner for patients.
- Be present, engaged, and ready to work at all assigned shift times.
- Assist the doctor and/or hygienist(s) with all dental procedures and anticipate their needs.
- Take, develop, and mount accurate, high-quality radiographs.
- Review patient charts, log patient data and health history, and transcribe doctor's notes.
- Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and operatory according to guidelines.
- Perform efficient and accurate procedures to maintain schedule and patient flow.
- Educate patients and address their questions and concerns.
- Demonstrate good teamwork to deliver an extraordinary patient experience.
- Partner with doctors, hygienists, Operations Leaders, and support staff for excellent patient service.
- Assist front office staff with scheduling follow-up visits and tracking lab cases.
- Monitor dental supply levels and order using the approved formulary when assigned.
- Promote and market Sonrava supported practices services and retail products.
- Complete checklists and participate in daily huddles to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
- Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance.
- Follow safety policies and procedures through OSHA compliance and BBP federal regulations.
- Complete all Learning Management System requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current radiography certification
- Dental Assistant certification (as required by state, or ability to become certified)
- Ability to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia
