About This Role

This role is for an entry-level Dental Assistant who will learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under supervision while focusing on providing excellent patient experience and maintaining practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist, adhering to state regulations
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by learning to focus on optimal treatment while addressing individual patient needs
• Learn and effectively complete proper infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning and disinfection
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist, after meeting state requirements for radiation safety
• Learn to prepare for and execute patient care procedures efficiently, from patient preparation to chairside support and follow-up appointment scheduling
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital patient chart as directed by the dentist
• Support patient care by presenting treatment records, consents, and health history to the dentist prior to patient treatment
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, including OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, and HR policies
