Join Palmer Park Dentistry as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, ensuring patient comfort and assisting dentists in providing modern, conservative dental care. Contribute to a positive patient experience by creating lasting relationships and confident smiles.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patients comfort during procedures
- Prepare operatories for treatment
- Sterilize instruments
- Directly assist dentist during procedures using four handed dentistry technique
- Take x-rays and intraoral photos
- Accurately and efficiently treatment plan based on doctor’s diagnosis
- Schedule patients
- Provide patient education and post-operative instruction
- Perform dental charting and coding
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Perform lab duties such as pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns
- Order supplies and maintain budgets
- Stock supplies and maintain equipment
- Remove sutures and place rubber damns as directed by dentist
- Place Sealants
- Coronal Polishing
- Take final impressions
- Monitor Nitrous Oxide
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CPR/BLS certification
- EDDA Certification or 1+ year of EDDA experience
- Radiology Certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of EDDA experience
Nice to Have
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Proficiency in Open Dental or Dentrix
