Delivery Project Manager

About This Role

Lead large and complex projects as a Delivery Project Manager, taking responsibility for achieving agreed goals and objectives. This role requires strong project management skills to mold established methodologies into effective solutions while managing variables throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead large and complex projects to achieve agreed goals and objectives
• Develop Project Charter and Preliminary Scope Statement
• Develop and manage Project Management Plan
• Direct and manage project execution, monitoring and controlling work
• Integrate and control changes throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage project finances, ensuring expenditures are within approved tolerances
• Ensure authority levels for staff resources are clearly defined and understood
• Define scope, create Work Breakdown Structure, and control project scope
• Manage project time, including activity definition, sequencing, and scheduling
• Estimate and control project costs, performing budgeting and cost control
• Build and perform quality assurance and control for projects
• Plan human resources, build, develop, and manage project teams
• Plan and distribute communications, report performance, and manage stakeholders
• Plan, identify, analyze, monitor, and control project risks
• Plan purchases and acquisitions, manage contracting, seller selection, and contract administration

Requirements

• Ability to engage and partner with customer and internal staff
• Ability to work in a virtual matrix team environment
• Ability to identify problems and work to resolution
• Good understanding of the telecoms and IT industries
• Minimum of 5 years project management experience in the telecom or IT industry managing external customer facing projects

Qualifications

• Degree in business, science (or other relevant area), or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum of 5 years project management experience in the telecom or IT industry managing external customer facing projects.
