This volunteer position in Ghana supports the Ministry of Education's inclusive education goals by strengthening teachers' vocational and technical skills and boosting student achievement in STEM and literacy.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with school staff to develop teachers' vocational and technical skills
- Boost student achievement in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and literacy
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education (general or with emphasis in visually- or hearing-impaired) OR Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in any discipline with state certification in special education (general or with emphasis in visually- or hearing-impaired) OR Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in Education with experience working with persons who are learning disabled, developmentally disabled, emotionally handicapped, physically handicapped, multiply handicapped, hearing-impaired, or visually-impaired OR Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in any discipline with experience working in classrooms or residential homes with persons who are learning disabled, developmentally disabled, emotionally handicapped, physically handicapped, multiply handicapped, hearing-impaired, or visually-impaired
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education (general or with emphasis in visually- or hearing-impaired) OR Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in any discipline with state certification in special education (general or with emphasis in visually- or hearing-impaired)
