About This Role

This role is for a proactive Data/Splunk Engineer responsible for executing tasks with minimal oversight and ensuring project timelines are met. The position involves engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and providing technical support to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all tasks outlined in the scope of work and follow standard operating procedures with minimal oversight.
  • Work with clients to analyze and understand their needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on more complex engagements.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients during and after project implementation.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams or engineers as necessary.
  • Document project progress, issues, and resolutions in a concise and timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate proactive engagement in obtaining and maintaining certifications and cultivating technical proficiency.
  • Proactively engage with mentors for assistance and guidance as necessary.
  • Shadow colleagues and actively participate in practical exercises within the company’s lab while not assigned to an engagement.

Requirements

  • Currently holds a Top Secret clearance – TS/SCI with a full-scope poly.
  • Experience operating in classified environments.
  • Understanding of SIEM, cybersecurity, and infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience integrating diverse data streams.
  • Experience with data transfer tools (Ex: NiFi, Cribl, etc).
  • Experience in analyzing complex networks and systems.
  • Experience in analyzing log data from various network components and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of complex environments involving shared networks and multiple security enclaves.
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot data feeds.
  • Splunk familiarization.
  • Python familiarization.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems.
  • Public, private and hybrid Cloud experience.
  • Understanding of governance and compliance, specifically with FAR, DFARs, CUI and CMMC.
  • Understanding of FedRAMP and IL constructs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
