Datadog Migration Specialist

About This Role

Design and optimize Datadog architecture, including dashboards, monitors, and alerts, for complex environments involving Kubernetes, Big Data, and Data Warehousing. This role focuses on fine-tuning infrastructure monitoring, ensuring visibility for data pipelines, and optimizing costs across AWS and Azure stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerting for a complex environment including Kubernetes (EKS), Big Data (EMR), and Data Warehousing (Snowflake)
• Fine-tune observability for a large EKS environment and large-scale EC2 clusters
• Implement monitoring for Databricks and Snowflake to track job performance, latency, and credit consumption
• Use Datadog to identify orphaned resources and cost spikes across AWS and Azure stacks
• Collaborate with the React team to ensure Frontend Observability (RUM) is correctly integrated

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on experience with the Datadog suite (APM, Log Management, Infrastructure, RUM, and Cloud Cost Management)
• Strong background in AWS (EKS, EMR, and EC2)
• Familiarity with monitoring Snowflake and Databricks environments
• Ability to read/understand React code for troubleshooting frontend-to-backend traces
• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Data Engineering
