The Databricks Platform Administrator will monitor, operate, and maintain the end-to-end Databricks platform, managing workspaces, clusters, and optimizing costs. This role supports quarterly upgrades, ensures security and governance, and automates administrative tasks for multi-team usage.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, operate, and maintain end-to-end Databricks platform (Non-Prod / Stage / Prod)
- Manage Databricks workspaces, clusters, jobs, and cost optimization
- Diagnose infrastructure and cluster performance issues and implement fixes
- Recommend and implement optimal Databricks architecture configurations
- Support quarterly upgrades and environment configurations
- Enable and manage security & governance: Object storage–level permissions and Hive metastore / metadata governance
- Automate administrative and operational tasks for multi-team usage
- Provide platform support to internal and external stakeholder teams
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience operating Databricks platforms
- Solid understanding of cluster management & performance tuning
- Solid understanding of cost optimization strategies
- Solid understanding of Databricks security & governance
- Experience running Databricks as a platform, not just consuming it
Qualifications
- 3 - 5+ years with strong Databricks platform focus
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with enterprise / regulated data environments
- Basic understanding of underlying cloud infrastructure
