Lead the development and operationalization of machine learning and advanced analytics capabilities for a healthcare client. This role involves both hands-on data science contributions and mentoring a high-impact data science team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor data science team members
- Partner with the VP of Analytics to define and execute the data science roadmap
- Identify and deliver high-impact machine learning and advanced analytics use cases
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of predictive models
- Establish model governance, coding standards, and documentation best practices
- Collaborate with Analytics, Engineering, Product, Clinical, Operations, and Finance stakeholders
- Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to senior leadership
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics
- 1+ year of people management experience
- Advanced proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (such as scikit-learn)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and MLOps/CI-CD practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics; 1+ year of people management experience
