Data Health Specialist PT

About This Role

The Data Health Specialist will maintain accurate client records, audit data for quality, and support staff in data management to ensure compliance with agency and funding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in Mission Tracker
• Regularly audit and clean data to ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy
• Support program staff in entering and managing client data effectively and in compliance with agency and funding requirements
• Generate routine and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., grant reporting, board presentations)
• Train staff on data entry standards, HMIS protocols, and privacy/confidentiality best practices
• Identify and resolve data entry errors or gaps in collaboration with program teams
• Monitor data quality metrics and provide feedback to improve overall data integrity
• Ensure compliance with HUD and other funder data standards and regulations
• Assist in preparing for audits, evaluations, or site visits related to data or program performance
• Contribute to the development of data-informed strategies for improving client outcomes and service delivery

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret data for reporting and decision-making
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for staff collaboration and training
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and ethical handling of sensitive information
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or data visualization/reporting tools
• Passion for social impact and serving vulnerable populations

Nice to Have

• Experience with HMIS or similar case management systems
