Data Entry Operator

About This Role

The Data Entry Operator supports high-volume data entry and data maintenance activities across multiple systems, handling confidential and sensitive information. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and productivity in a structured, policy-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate to advanced data entry, including alpha and numeric data input
• Support multiple data entry initiatives and data cleanup efforts across various systems
• Proof and validate work for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
• Prioritize workloads through coding, sorting, and tracking activities
• Identify and correct errors through visual inspection and quality checks
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and tracking reports
• Generate reports based on entered and processed data
• Handle confidential and sensitive information in compliance with established policies and procedures
• Make decisions and recommendations within established guidelines and authorized limits
• Provide guidance to other staff after developing strong proficiency in assigned tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 4-6 years of relevant data entry or administrative experience
• Ability to key a minimum of 10,000 keystrokes per hour
• Experience using a 10-key adding machine
• Strong mathematical skills and item processing ability
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
• 4-6 years of relevant data entry or administrative experience.

Nice to Have

• Post-secondary education
• Experience working with Microsoft Access or similar database tools
• Prior experience performing data cleanup or data quality validation tasks
