Data Center Infrastructure Engineer

About This Role

This role provides comprehensive "hands and feet" support for a critical data center environment, ensuring the physical integrity, connectivity, and continuous operation of mission-critical assets such as servers, networking equipment, and storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform racking, un-racking, packing, and shipping of Servers, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, and Blade Chassis
• Manage Labeling, Cabling, and validation of wires
• Perform power cycling and soft-booting of hardware
• Maintain accurate asset records and manage spare inventory (Fiber cables, connectors)
• Handle commissioning and decommissioning processes
• Assist Network, Unix, Storage, and Security teams with physical installs and remote maintenance via Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM) migration
• Monitor Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), power generators, and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems
• Liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for spares and parts procurement

Requirements

• Expertise in Physical Layer components: cables, connectors, jacks, and fiber optics
• Deep knowledge of Server and Network Hardware architecture
• Proficiency in Asset Management Systems and port density/availability tracking
• Strong understanding of Dual Power Supply configurations and inlet/outlet power loads
• Advanced communication skills for internal and external customer coordination

• ITIL Process mastery
• Strong understanding of Cybersecurity Services and Cloud Infrastructure
• Experience with 3rd Party Infrastructure Solutions and monitoring tools
