Cyber Security Manager

About This Role

Manage PracticeSuite's core IT infrastructure, network systems, and cybersecurity framework to ensure the security, availability, performance, and reliability of technology systems. This role combines technical expertise with leadership to drive continuous improvement in IT governance and security posture for a healthcare software company.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and maintenance of servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments.
• Oversee system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning for optimal uptime and scalability.
• Manage vendor relationships and service-level agreements (SLAs) for hardware, software, and network providers.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network topology, configurations, and system procedures.
• Oversee endpoint protection, firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention, and data loss prevention systems.
• Manage access controls, identity management, and incident response protocols.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests; develop remediation plans.
• Lead cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
• Supervise and mentor IT staff and support teams for efficient service delivery and professional development.
• Partner with business leaders to identify infrastructure and security needs aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop and manage IT budgets, forecasts, and procurement strategies.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance system performance, reliability, and security.
• Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ensure data backup, replication, and recovery procedures are tested and reliable.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience
• 3+ years in infrastructure or security management roles
• Proven experience managing enterprise networks, servers, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Demonstrated success in implementing security frameworks and compliance programs
• Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, etc.)
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions
• Familiarity with Active Directory, MDM solutions, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in infrastructure or security management roles.

Nice to Have

• Scripting or automation knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
