Serve as a Junior Cyber Operations Planner supporting SOCCENT J3, contributing to deliberate and crisis planning efforts, conducting cyber threat intelligence analysis, and developing cyber plans and operational products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed, written analysis and develop recommendations for Joint Cyberspace Operations planning
- Conduct research and cyber threat intelligence analysis for CYBER plans and Staff Estimates
- Participate in and support Joint Planning Groups (JPGs), Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) and planning meetings
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with other combatant command JCCs, TSOCs, USCYBERCOM, IA, and non-government organizations involved in cyber planning
- Utilize knowledge of joint doctrine and joint planning concepts, including the JOPP, operational art, and operational design
- Draft CONOPS, concept plans, operations orders, fragmentary orders, execution orders, and other planning products
- Monitor and review higher echelon strategies, doctrine, policies, and directives
- Provide Cyber knowledge management (KM) support for strategic improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Current CI Poly or ability to obtain one
- 5 years' experience in technical or computer network operations development and planning
- 2 years related military or civilian experience
- 2 years' experience at a combatant command, Joint Staff, or comparable experience conducting and leading OCO planning and writing OCO plans and orders
- Graduate of, or must complete within six months of hiring, a minimum of one of the following courses: Joint Attack Course, Joint Cyber Analysis Course graduate, Joint Cyberspace Operations Planning Course, Joint Information Operations Planning Course or a service equivalent
