Cyber Forensics Lead

About This Role

Lead cyber forensics investigations, collecting and preserving electronic data, analyzing digital artifacts for unauthorized access or malware, and preparing detailed reports for legal proceedings. This role ensures the integrity of evidence and collaborates with cybersecurity professionals, legal teams, and law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Collect, preserve, and analyze electronic data from various sources (computers, mobile devices, networks)
• Gather electronic evidence following strict protocols to maintain data integrity
• Examine digital artifacts to identify signs of unauthorized access, malware, or data theft
• Prepare detailed reports of analyses and findings for potential legal proceedings
• Work with cybersecurity professionals, legal teams, and law enforcement to ensure admissibility of evidence
• Lead a team of ten or more

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• 8 years of experience in a digital forensic related role
• Deep technical proficiency and knowledge of computer systems, networks, and cybersecurity principles
• Experience allowing skilled reconstruction of digital events and analysis of complex data sets with precision in handling evidence and documenting findings
• Experience leading a team of ten or more
• Active Secret security clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• 8 years of experience in a digital forensic related role with deep technical proficiency and knowledge of computer systems, networks, and cybersecurity principles
