About This Role

This role is responsible for selling Daikin Comfort products and services, handling customer needs from answering questions to processing sales, and ensuring a smooth sales process. The representative will support sales growth and maintain positive dealer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Help the Branch deliver on its sales, including new business, by actively communicating new product launches, services, supplies, and sales/discounts via outbound calls
  • Provide excellent customer service via face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and e-mails
  • Execute all aspects of the sales function including order processing, purchase orders, payment processing, quotes, and delivery dates, ensuring accuracy
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications as needed
  • Obtain and monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed, coordinating with manufacturing, sales, distribution, and vendors
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
  • Educate customers about product terminology, features, and benefits to improve sales and customer satisfaction
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items and assist customers with warranties and returns
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activities, and expand knowledge of HVAC products and industry trends

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of progressive sales experience
  • 3+ years in the HVAC industry
  • Some knowledge of HVAC equipment/products
  • General Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Working knowledge of database applications
  • Effective and high-quality customer service/relationship management skills (in-person, phone, email)
  • Positive, professional attitude and ability to diffuse negative situations
  • Good phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to deal with high-volume customer traffic
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for technical information and order input
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, including prioritization and multi-tasking
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to use good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, some colleges preferred
  • 3 – 6 years of progressive sales experience and 3+ years in the HVAC industry
