Customer Account Manager

About This Role

This Customer Account Manager role involves managing customer accounts, providing exceptional service, and coordinating internal and external efforts to meet project and production goals. The role requires strong decision-making skills and limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all activities related to the general management of assigned accounts with limited supervision
• Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations for customer requirements and industry standards
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
• Negotiate pricing changes or additional charges while ensuring customer requests and company profitability are met
• Maintain thorough knowledge of assigned customer’s business and relationship status
• Review customer pricing annually and decide on price increases based on margins, material costs, and volume
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, or annual business reviews for key accounts
• Track open sales orders and report updates or challenges to customers
• Receive and process customer complaints and RMAs
• Plan, schedule, facilitate, and take notes for customer visits
• Provide revenue forecast projections as required for assigned accounts
• Make daily decisions on assigned accounts affecting company profitability
• Support the Sales Department in developing new opportunities with new and existing accounts

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of Account Management experience or 2 - 4 years of Project Management Experience
• Previous experience with ERP Systems
• Previous experience with Microsoft programs
• 1-3 Years of experience with customer contract tracking software

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3 - 5 years of Account Management experience or 2 - 4 years of Project Management Experience
